It’s time to make your fun and soak in the views at Braham Farm, a splendid Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site welcoming tents, small campervans, motorhomes and caravans. A look at the map may not instil much in the way of expectation. The location seems to be positioned between a railway and the main road; however, as you leave the maddening pace of the A10 behind and cross a lush field, a wonderful picture emerges. A spacious lawn at the side of an old farmhouse boasts splendid views across rolling what fields over to Ely Cathedral. While some guests may continue to search for the campsite, the simple truth is that this peaceful, no-frills field is the base, and the old farmhouse is the ideal backdrop, oozing heaps of charm. Enjoy the beautiful settings throughout your stay as you sit back and appreciate life in the slow lane. The only facilities are one toilet in the farmyard, electric hook-ups, drinking water points and chemical disposal, ensuring an altogether rustic feel. Enter Ely via a gentle hour-long amble along the river or a path parallel to the main road. Hop on a bike at Ely and pedal along quiet, off-road lanes to reach Wicken Fen nature reserve in 90-minutes or less. Pets welcome.
