Shallow Grange Farm is the place to be if you’re in search of a tranquil setting to set up camp and enjoy the delights of the great outdoors. The spacious campsite rests on a serene working sheep farm, combining the charms of sheep-dotted pastures with quiet countryside camping, ensuring a pleasant stay. Camping at Shallow Grange Farm funds a noble tradition, as the grounds were once the summer camp for battalions of the Sherwood Foresters. Today the site functions as an eco-friendly campsite offering guests peaceful and undoubtedly far superior comforts than those known to the soldiers of yore. A flat, well-drained field offers spacious tent and touring bases with optional electric hookups, plus added conveniences like seasonal pitches and caravan storage. The usual communal amenities are available, including toilets, hot showers, washing up area, laundry on-site, chemical disposal, and recycling conveniences. Free Wi-Fi access and disabled-friendly facilities are also available. The owners welcome barbeques as long as they remain raised above the grass. Campers can purchase bags of wood and hire fire baskets from the farm. This is a predominantly working farm, so do not expect the comforts of a larger, more commercial park. There is a strict no-noise policy after ten p.m., and noisy drinking sessions are not permitted. Sorry, no pets allowed.
