Escape to the lush surrounds of the England’s picturesque countryside, and camp out in serene settings enfolded by National Forest at Hill Farm, a relaxing family-run campsite nestled in the green heart of the forest, a smooth two-miles from the local amenities in the historic town of Ashby De La Zouch. The peaceful base rests on a working beef and arable farm, owned and operated by the cheery Sumnall family who have owned the premises for over 75 years. Young campers will have heaps of fun making friends with the livestock, made up of Red Deer Alpacas, Shire Horses, and hefty Canadian Bison. A well-stocked farm shop stocks both venison and Bison meat – perfect for delicious meals back at home, especially if you miss the lovely green surroundings and laid-back country living during you stay. The camping area is open all year round, and consists of two grassed fields and a hardstanding area made up of loose white gravel. All hardstanding bases come with electric hook-ups and are best suited for large motorhomes or days the rainy weather makes the grass unusable. Guests are welcome to pitch awnings in the hardstanding area, provided metal pins are utilized. The two grassed pitching areas look out over the kids play area, providing adults with an easy way of keeping an eye on the nippers. Pets welcome.
