Set up camp on the grounds of a 17th-century rural pub at the Unicorn Inn, a cracking pub site positioned on the banks of the sparkling River Severn, on the fringes of the historic town of Bridgnorth. The centrally positioned site rests in proximity to the Severn Valley Railway Station, a heritage steam railway chugging its way along a scenic route from Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Come on by in your campervans and caravans, or pitch a tent in this picturesque spot and savour the delights of a convenient location, excellent river fishing and the added bonus of delicious homemade pub grub and bevvies placed a short trot from your pitch. Soak in the sights and sounds of the rolling Shropshire countryside, and observe an abundance of wildlife around the banks of the River Severn as you sip on a cold drink and kick back on your roomy pitch. Fishers can plonk down on the banks and savour one of the best spots to catch Barbel. There’s no need to fret if you’ve forgotten or misplaced your gear as there is a premier tackle shop, Middle Severn Angling, a short distance away in Bridgnorth. This stretch of the river is known as Barbel Alley, signifying the excellent angling opportunities available for all abilities. Dogs most welcome.
