Woodcock Lodge Farm is a friendly, peaceful site overlooking the River Severn and the Severn Valley Railway – two must-visits for campers anywhere near the sparkling River Severn. The famed Severn Valley Railway, which chuffs along a 26-mile route, rests a relaxing stroll from the base, while the picturesque hamlet of Hampton Loade sits a smooth 5-minute walk from the campsite. Kick back on a serene working sheep farm and soak in the relaxing atmosphere, paired with relaxing vistas over the rolling countryside that envelope the site. Guests who want to get about and explore the area are well-placed for active open-air pursuits. The National Cycle Route 45 and the scenic 100-mile Jack Mytton Way cut through the farm, making it easy to don walking shoes or hop on a bike when the mood arises. Nature lovers will find much flora and fauna to admire at Chelmarsh Reservoir and Eardington Nature Reserve, located within a four-mile distance to the north. Head to the northeast at roughly the same distance, and access the Highley part of the Severn Valley Country Park. Waterside walks and picnic by the River Severn are also an option during your stay. The site holds grass pitches with optional electricity for both tents and touring vehicles. Barbeques are encouraged, and pets most welcome.
