The Coates Farm is an excellent base for traditional campers who prefer idyllic settings, sweeping views, relaxed rules and oodles of nature over fancy amenities, and congested camping spaces. This friendly campsite rests on a peaceful working farm amid the rolling greenery of the Shropshire Hills. It provides nature lovers with spectacular scenery of beautiful surroundings that will soothe the senses and create a sense of peace. Sit back and crack open a cold one as you appreciate the striking vistas from the campsite, and settle in for a relaxing stay as you get into the slower pace of countryside living. The surrounds consist of sprawling fields of wheat and barley, plus emerald turfs sprinkled with grazing cows and sheep – could you ask for more quintessential views of the romantic English countryside? The rolling hills around the site were christened “Little Switzerland” in the Victorian era and still serve as a top pick for scenic walks at a pace of choice. Three such footpaths and a bridleway cut through the campsite and lead up to the inclines of Wenlock Edge, allowing walkers, hikers and bikers access to the main path along the Jack Mytton Way. End the day with stargazing evenings as a campfire crackles or a barbeque sizzles nearby. Pets welcome all year.
