Escape to a relaxing hideaway at Penrose, a tranquil campsite nestled in the midst of the romantic greenery of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and enjoy easy access to cracking walking and biking country. The friendly campsite rests between Much Wenlock & Church Stretton, providing guests with proximity to local amenities and attractions. Set up camp on a roomy tent or touring pitch, and savour the glorious views as you sit back, sip on a chilled glass of wine, and enjoy the delights of the idyllic countryside lifestyle. There are grass and hardstanding plots with optional electricity and clean and basic communal amenities, like toilets, hot showers, drinking water points and chemical disposal. Penrose is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, with just five hardstanding pitches for touring vehicles with electricity and grass plots for no more than five tents at any given time. The low number of campers and basic facilities ensure plenty of space for no-frills camping enthusiasts to stretch out and drink in the relaxing atmosphere. When you’re not soaking in the spectacular views, don your walking boots and head out for ambles in the scenic surroundings, or drive one of several pubs in the area. Alternately, feel free to sizzle your meal over the barbeque grill. Pets most welcome.
