Apart from the green vistas and slower pace of life, Sunnyoak also boasts a very convenient pub on-site (the Willeymoore pub), saving campers the trouble of driving into town for meals and nibbles. The Llangollen canal rests behind the campsite, providing guests with a chance to enjoy peaceful waterside walks while soaking in tranquillity. The waterway is also ideal for earnest anglers, who can fish for roach, perch, pike, bream, carp and tench. Permits are available for sale on-site. There are numerous delightful walks to keep active types and nature lovers happy. The Sandstone Trail runs along the rear of the campsite, providing a challenging yet rewarding long-distance route for some of the finest walking in Cheshire. Urban adventurers can head over to Chester and Wrexham, resting 18 and 15-miles away, respectively.
