Rue Hill Campsite is simple, friendly, spacious and downright handy for adventures, making it a worthy consideration for your next road trip or camping escape. The roomy site rests on the fringes of the Peak District National Park, renowned for its beauty and wealth of open-air pursuits. Families can avoid rifts and have it all here, be it rides and slides, long walks in the wilderness, and water-based antics. Greenery envelops the campsite, and avocado-hued fields stretch out in all directions, attracting an abundance of wildlife. Sit back on your roomy pitch, plug in and crack open a cold one as you survey the scenery and observe birds and animals rustling in the trees and shrubs. The village of Cauldon Low is a mere minute’s drive away, and the thrills and spills of Alton Towers rest 10-minutes away, making Alton Towers a real gem for family-friendly escapes. Aside from the non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitches, the site has a cosy cabin with sleeping space for four and a collection of 5m bell tents in a private section of the campsite. Barbeque grills are welcome, firepits with logs, sticks and are available for hire at £10. Personal firepits are not welcome due to insurance issues. Sorry, no pets allowed.
