Since first opening its doors in 1991, Hetherick Caravan Park has grown into a popular yet peaceful campsite, ideally positioned in the serene settings of Teesdale, with easy access to major roads and attractions in the area. Mile upon mile of unspoilt, fertile, rolling countryside envelops the site, providing guests of all ages with the freedom to traipse through meadows, frolic among leafy trees, and enjoy lovely picnics in a viewsome spot. There’s no excuse to stare at screens when the scenic surroundings are perfect for open-air recreation catering to all ages and abilities. Guests can bring over bikes or don walking shoes to explore snaking trails and paths. Less active campers can take in the scenery on a pony trek, hit off a tee on a sprawling golf course, or cast a line over well-stocked waters for relaxed angling. Refuel at the market town of Barnard Castle, which has an excellent collection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. The town also has many attractions like The Castle, The Market Cross Street, and Bowes Museum for fine art. Alternately, feel free to do nothing more than sip on cold beverages of choice, sit back and soak in the scenery from the attractively landscaped park, brimming with wildlife and offering an unrivalled sense of peace. Canines are most welcome.
