The friendly Atkinson family resided and cultivated the land around the Mill for over 200-years, before opening a small campsite in 1963. Today the site has grown to include both touring plots and static holiday homes, with access to fish on-site. The present generation of Atkinsons remain focused on furnishing guests with high-quality customer service, attention to detail, and a personally run camping space for restful, rejuvenating escapes from modern life. The pitches and homes spread out over two fields, nestled in a secluded, pretty destination where birdsong and the sounds of livestock are the only sounds to break the tranquillity. Spread out on eight lush acres and sit back with a cold drink as you survey the serene settings on-site. The site enjoys a position on the banks of the shimmering River Lune and remains enveloped by rural farmland and woods. Watch a herd of shaggy cows grazing in a fenced field a few steps from your pitch, or trot over to the designated areas with the kids and pet the donkeys, horses, Shetland ponies, sheep, pigs and alpacas. The site also rests in an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty brimming with local wildlife. Mickleton Mill is pet friendly, and there are dog walking areas located off the park.
