Heathfield Caravan Park is a well-maintained friendly campsite nestled in the Nidderdale Valley, affording direct access to Nidderdale Way and spectacular vistas owing to its position in an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hikes strolls, fresh air, green spaces, and big skies are the orders of the day, so go ahead and don walking shoes or bring along your bikes for a holiday of open-air pursuits and relaxation. The famous yet peaceful wooded valley of Upper Nidderdale is a vast fertile space crisscrossed with footpaths and biking trails, plus plenty of opportunities to enjoy fishing and horse riding. A mile and a half’s trot leads to the nearby town of Pateley Bridge, where the oldest sweet shop entices, plus a range of shops and butchers provide the perfect ingredients to slap on the grill come sunset. The reception also has a shop stocking camping essentials like groceries, toiletries and more. There are historical sites aplenty in Yorkshire for the history buffs, including Ripley Castle and the Capability Brown landscaped gardens, Skipton Castle, Fountains Abbey, Studley Royal and Augustinian Bolton Abbey with meandering nature trails. Trudge back to base after a day of exploration and unwind with a barbeque as you gaze up at the shimmering canopy of stars and smile, knowing another day of relaxing awaits. Pets are welcome.
