Marfit Head Farm is a compact, family-friendly campsite nestled on a peaceful working dairy farm, ideally positioned on the fringes of the stunning North York Moors National Park. The site boasts a central location between the wind-swept heather moorlands and the coastal delights, providing campers with a delightful blend of seaside and countryside. The rolling greenery of the North York Moors National Park turns a stunning shade of lavender as the heather blooms in August and makes for an excellent spot for gentle ambles and exploration. There is more walking to enjoy by strolling up the roadside to The Hole of Horcum, and guests can head further afield from the stations at Bridestones and Levisham. Explore the walking and hiking routes in the scenic Dalby Forest located an easy 10-minute drive away, or hop on the North York Moors Steam Railway and take in the scenery with minimal exertion. Swap the lush countryside for the azure waters of the ocean with ease. Trains chug from Pickering to Whitby, which holds many family-friendly attractions and a splendid beach. Marfit Head welcomes tents and touring vehicles on generous grass pitches with optional electric connections. Facilities include the standard toilets, hot showers, pot washing area, drinking water points and chemical disposal. Pets are most welcome.
