The A66 is just 10-minutes away for accessing experiences further afield, and several Dales attractions are within easy reach. Explore places like Raby Castle, the Bowes Museum, High Force Waterfall, and many exciting visitor attractions. Campers who prefer to remain close to the base can explore the endless space and snaking footpaths around the campsite, providing active types with plenty to uncover on foot. Take a short drive to the nearby Hamsterley Forest with your bikes to follow biking trails, or hop on the Teesdale Way from the campsite itself and stroll over to Fernaville’s Rest, a pet-friendly pub, Grade II listed pub an estimated 4-miles’ away. Hillcrest Park has ten timber glamping pods that are well-spaced out and protect campers from the elements. Pets are welcome.
