Rumble over to the edge of the pretty village of Reeth and set up camp on the spacious, peaceful and welcoming Orchard Caravan Park, a splendid campsite enveloped by the natural beauty of the rolling Yorkshire Dales. The site is an excellent base for exploring this stunning area of Yorkshire, offering plenty of walks ranging from family-friendly to challenging. Hardy types can tackle the Coast to Coast Path on which the site rests or follow in the footsteps of beloved veterinarian and author on the Herriott Way. Guests in need of some fresh air, nibbles and tipple can stroll along the Inn Way, a 76-mile walk meandering past two traditional inns along the way. The site is also a stroll from the village, which has three dog-friendly pubs, providing ravenous visitors with delicious dishes and an array of local beers and wine. The Burgoyne Hotel is another excellent spot for food and drinks. Potter around the Swaledale Museum, or head to the team rooms, followed by a stop at the convenience store to stock up on camping essentials. A convenient bus service runs through the village each day, with trips to Richmond and the military town of Catterick Garrison, which has larger supermarkets, banks and a retail park. Orchard Caravan Park welcomes tents, tourers and glampers. Pets are welcome.
