Howgill Lodge Caravan Camping Park is a stunning terraced campsite offering campers the delights of perfectly flat pitches with splendid mountain views and none of the hassle that comes with pitching or parking up on a slope. The well-laid-out park rests amid the rolling greenery of the Yorkshire Dales, affording jaw-dropping views across the lush Wharfe Valley, ideally placed for rambling at the base of Simon’s Seat, a 1,600-foot mountain, accessed by a steep path from the park. Sit back and soak in the unspoilt greenery, dotted here and there in true Yorkshire Dales fashion with traditional stone barns. Views from the site are ideal for days of lazing on the base with a cold drink of choice or book in hand. Several charming villages dot the scenic surroundings, offering great days of experiencing an authentic slice of small-town life in Yorkshire. The site welcomes tents, motorhomes and caravans on a mix of grass and hardstanding plots, equipped with optional electric connections. The primary shower block comes equipped with hot showers. There is a covered pot washing area, and a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer. Several amenity blocks are available around the site. Added facilities include gas exchange, chemical disposal, a communal fridge with a freezer, and recycling conveniences. Each pitch also has a picnic table for soaking in the sunsets on relaxing evenings. Dogs are welcome.
