Nestled in the heart of Strensall Common, the park rests on the edge of a scientific nature reserve and affords quick access to the York Golf Course located opposite the campsite. While golfers grab their gear and stroll over for a day of enjoying their sport, anglers can trot over to the private lake on-site and settle in for a peaceful day of fishing. The lake comes stocked with a variety of coarse fish, including specimen carp, bream, rudd, roach, bream and tench. Fishing is only available for caravanning guests at a modest added charge of £2.00 per day. Urban adventurers can soak in the beauty and charm of York, complete with 2000-years of history blended with bustling shopping streets and amazing architecture. There are over 30 museums, galleries and tours – plenty to fill your days.
