This peaceful site rests on the stunning grounds of Netherwood House, with the sparkling Shropshire Union Canal bordering one side of the estate. The delightful and idyllic country campsite is the closest base near the city of Chester, providing quick access to numerous historical attractions, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, and cafes via a gentle stroll along the canal towpath. Enjoy the delightful blend of rural scenery and tranquillity paired with easy access to the city, located a mere 2 1/2 miles from the campsite. If you’re not a fan of the bustle and holiday crowds, simply stroll over to the nearest villages to secure the camping amenities required for your stay. The site also provides excellent public transport links for getting around sans your car or a slightly cumbersome touring vehicle. There is a park and ride nearby, making it easy to explore the historic Chester and the surrounding countryside. Netherwood Touring Site has optional electric grass plots for tents and touring vehicles. Facilities include toilets, hot showers, a pot washing area, drinking water points, and chemical disposal. Pets are welcome.
