Lonsdale Park is one such site that offers comfortable outdoor abodes on a lush 40-acre country estate, a mere 5-minute drive from the M6 and a smooth 15 from the central Carlisle. The static holiday homes and cabins come with private fishing pegs, many a few feet from the back door, affording ample space to store your fishing gear. Enjoy the laidback atmosphere on these quiet, flat grounds, sprinkled with clumps of trees and five separate lakes, stocked with species like carp, tench, roach and pike. Spend your stay on the site, appreciating the laidback atmosphere and idyllic pace of life, or hop in your car and head out for a day of sightseeing. Fall in love with the spectacular scenery along the eastern side of the Lake District and the shimmering Ullswater. Alternately, rumble over the border and into bonny Scotland in 20-minutes’ or less. Dogs are welcome throughout the year.
