Howgills Hideaway is a perfectly positioned site that’s hard to beat, offering campers a variety of well-appointed glamping options in a stunning location nestled in the Yorkshire Dales. The site rests near the scenic and shimmering Lakes and serves as an excellent centre-point for relaxing escapes and active adventures. Guests are welcome to rumble over, plug in and recharge from the complexities of modern life, enjoying the superb hospitality of the charming Stainton family, who have owned the site for three generations. Nestled in an idyllic part of the country, this campsite rests on a working farm, providing animal lovers and adventuring nippers with friendly, furry neighbours. Feed and make friends with a flock of 250 sheep, young livestock, and free-range hens who enjoy having a nose around the campers now and again. Purchase some fresh eggs from the flock to supplement your breakfasts and sizzling barbeque meals. The owners also encourage campfires, so feel free to get one going under the shimmering night sky. There are three glamping pods, each fully furnished and heated, with a private decking area outside for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The Ellergill En-suite Glamping Pod features sleeping space for four, a kitchenette, a private shower, and a decking area with a barbeque. Guests can also hire an unfurnished and furnished bell tent, plus static caravans with space for six. A minimum of two dogs per abode is permitted.
