Shoulthwaite Farm is the oldest family-owned Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location in the UK, established in 1955. The site rests amid the enticing natural beauty of the central and northern lakes, providing guests with an excellent centre-point for uncovering a variety of outdoorsy pursuits. The camping area lies tucked away on a friendly working farm, located on the A591, a mere 3-miles south of the buzzing Cumbrian market town of Keswick. Shoulthwaite Farm rests on Derwentwater, a short stroll from the stunning reservoir of Thirlmere, providing families, active couples and guests with a passion for water-based antics with an array of watersports and adventure. Guests are welcome to use the site as a base for exploring the spectacular Central Lakeland Fells while hardy hikers set out to summit the peaks of Skiddaw, Blencathra, the Dodds and Helvellyn; all located within sight and reach. Walkers can explore the scenic and peaceful forest and fell walks on the eastern side of Bleaberry Fell, under Goat Crag. Shoulthwaite Farm holds a mix of soft and hardstanding pitches with optional electric connections for traditional tent campers and owners of campervans, motorhomes and caravans. Facilities are limited to the absolute essentials, like drinking water points, chemical disposal and battery charging conveniences. Well-behaved pets are most welcome.
