Crossfells Campsite is a compact, viewsome and peaceful campsite, located under 3-miles from the market town of Penrith. This Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site rests near the M6 and famed Lake District attractions like Ullswater Lake and the lush Eden Valley. There are just five hardstanding plots with electric meters, evenly spaced out on a generous one-acre camping field. Small campervans, motorhomes and caravans are best suited for this quiet site, as there are no facilities on the premises, barring chemical disposal, drinking water taps and a motorhome point. Tent campers will need to secure their toilet facilities off-site. Spend your stay exploring the stunning scenery around the park on foot or bike at a pace of choice. If sweat and exertion sound like the opposite of what you’d like to do on a relaxing escape, crack open a cold one and unwind on the site, or potter around the historic market town of Penrith, and enjoy the ambience at your pace. There is plenty to explore and discover during your stay, including pleasant walks and accessible cycling routes crisscrossing the natural beauty of the Lake District National Park and Ullswater Lake and Steamer.
