Waterside House Farm and the adjoining camping and glampsite have been run by the same family for five generations, ensuring a reputed, safe and relaxing space to kick back and escape the complexities of everyday life. The site enjoys a peaceful location, nuzzled in Barton Fells, providing lucky camping sorts with an authentic rural atmosphere, complete with pastures sprinkled with cattle and calves, plus dexterous sheepdogs at work. Sit back and let out a sigh of contentment as you set up camp on the shores of Ullswater, in the shade of a farmhouse built in 1694, and settle in for a relaxing, traditional camping experience. Guests are also within easy reach of the numerous attractions and activities in the world-famous UNESCO heritage Lake District area. Wake up to the sounds of the running river, birdsong, and a flock of Swaledale Ewes, and take life at a calm, countryside pace, opting to sleep in or jump out of bed in hopes of exploring the area on bike, foot or horse. Reconnect with nature as you relax amid the enclosing lakes and savour the natural beauty of your surroundings. Waterside House Farm has a tent camping field with optional electric meters and a glamping field with lakeside pods without beds and furnished tipis. Dogs are welcome all year.
