Set on the edge of the Lake District national park, this quiet and welcoming campsite is perfect for those stress-free escapes from everyday life, complete with a laidback atmosphere and beautiful surroundings that stir the most inactive camper to head out on a lovely summer’s day stroll. The site has rather large modern holiday homes, perfect for spacious and comfortable living on road trips and well-deserved holidays. The abodes feature large end bedrooms, electric lighting, hot and cold water, and a toilet. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for whipping up snacks and light meals, consisting of a gas fire, cooker, microwave oven, and fridge. There is a colour TV and panel heaters for days the weather becomes decidedly English. Guests are welcome to enjoy the homes from the beginning of March to the end of January and enjoy the benefit of car parking beside each unit. Tanglewood Caravan Park also offers nine static holiday homes for hire and 21 pitches for touring caravans, all with electric meters, plus water and drainage conveniences. Tent campers can pitch up on ten plots and access the clean communal shower and toilet block with underfloor heating. There is a fully licensed bar on the premises, and pets are welcome.
