The Paddock is a camping and glamping site set on a working farm in Lancashire, a short stroll from the quirky, foodie former mill town of Ramsbottom. Guests can enjoy an excellent location, a half-hour’s drive from Pendle Hill and Manchester. Mix days out to the Museum of Science and Industry and the People’s History Museum, with scenic strolls and quiet afternoons huddled around a crackling campfire. A trifling 5-minute drive leads into the lively village of Ramsbottom, which holds an excellent collection of shops, takeaways, cafes and pubs. The area around the site is perfect for open-air exploration and relaxing activities. Set out on moorland walks at a pace of choice, follow peaceful nature trails, or find a well-stocked lake to throw a line and wait for a catch – the option is yours. Numerous walking and biking paths crisscross the stunning scenery, making it easy to explore the area without the need to drive great distances. Footpaths across the windswept moor are available for guests who enjoy a challenging stroll, while a gentler introduction to rambling is available in Jumbles Country Park, set a smooth 15-minutes’ away. The Paddock is best suited for tent campers and glampers. There are non-electric plots on grass, plus spacious yurts, cute pods, safari tents, and domes for hire. Barbeques and campfires are encouraged. Pets are welcome.
