Watkinson's Farm Glamping is a compact, peaceful and small scale glampsite located amid the serene settings on the edge of private woodland. Look forward to the delightful landscape dotted with woods, meadows and oodles of open green spaces that tempt the least active camper to don walking shoes and head out for exciting open-air adventures. The campsite itself rests in a pastoral slice of West Lancashire, a few miles outside the friendly local town of Ormskirk, home to a farmer's market since medieval times. Pop in to access the varied stalls, spilling with bounteous homegrown produce, jams and fresh meat – perfect for alfresco sizzles under the stars or quiet evenings around the campfire. The 120-acre Watkinsons Farm has been in the family of the present owners since the 1930s and rests amid swathes of woodland and a shimmering patchwork of ponds, while healthy harvests of vegetables flourish in the more fertile areas, crafting a picturesque landscape for eyeing with a cold beverage in hand. The owners have started a petite bell tent camping site consisting of just four pre-pitched and furnished abodes ideal for quiet yet comfortable escapes. Each unit rests on a flat wooden platform, with proper double beds, lanterns, bean bags, and a box of cooking utensils. There is an outdoor seating area and a campfire pit for traditional camping fun. Sorry, no dogs are allowed.
