Idyllically positioned on the banks of the shimmering River Ouse rests the peaceful and welcoming Ouse Meadow Campsite, a compact yet scenic campsite perfect for back to nature escapes. The site rests opposite the Bluebell Railway, perfect for a great day out with the family. Bluebell Railway is a heritage line that uses steam engine trains, chugging their way between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead. The emphasis remains on wild camping in tranquillity. The owners encouraged guests to enjoy the traditional camping thrills of crackling campfires and sizzling barbeques, sending diving aromas of grilled meat and producing wafting through the air. Free-spirited campers will love the freedom to pick a camping spot and set up camp along the riverbank (a family meadow and a separate adults only meadow) or in a meadow away from the river, as the site welcomes guests to pitch or park up in a spot that suits their tastes. The young ones are not left out as the thoughtful owners have added rope swings, swingball, badminton, table football and other outdoor games to entice the nippers away from the screens. Logs, kindling and fire pits are available on site to get a small campfire going, letting the family enjoy a crucial part of outdoor camping escapes. Ouse Meadow Campsite offers non-electric grass plots for tents and small campervans. Sorry, no motorhomes or caravans are allowed on the premises.
