Due to its popularity, The Secret Campsite is now a not so secret site focused on space, peace, and nature. The owner, Tim, is quite happy that campers often return to his fledgling business, supporting both the owner and the rural economy while making the most of the stunning scenery for a well-earned escape from the daily grind. Nature lovers who don’t mind scrimping on the amenities offered by the larger, more commercial and crowded site are welcome to use the site for relaxing and as a centre-point for exploring the local activities and attractions in Sussex, Brighton or Lewes. There’s plenty to explore and enjoy and the freedom to blend coastal capers with viewsome countryside backdrops, so rumble over post-haste and settle in for that well-earned escape you’ve been craving. The site offers spacious non-electric grass pitches, set in a large and secluded meadow, with the freedom to enjoy traditional camping fun like crackling campfires and hot alfresco meals courtesy of a barbeque. Wildlife thrives in and around the campsite, and the owners keep the field car-free to ensure an increased number of encounters. This also provides a safe space for the nippers to frolic freely, explore the area of woodland, which is perfect for building dens and climbing trees. Sorry, pets are not welcome at the site.
