Mill House Caravan Park is a compact and friendly family-run caravan park tucked away amid the serene settings of the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation conservation area, in proximity to Paper Mill Lock. This is an excellent site for sampling a blend of countryside plus the activities that come with camping close to the riverside. Sit back and soak in the tranquil atmosphere as you soak in the surrounding sceneries of open farmland and lovely cricket bat willow trees that give the site a peaceful rural feel. A row of hedges and a burbling stream mark the boundaries of this quiet site, encouraging a wealth of local wildlife, easily visible from the pitches. Spend a day or two kicking back on the premises, shaking off the usual stress and schedules of modern life. Wake up at your own pace and opt to explore the immediate surroundings via a footpath network or a stroll along the sparkling River Chelmer, located opposite the site. Uncover 13-miles of towpaths, winding their way past mill pools, marinas and locks. Angling enthusiasts can purchase day ticket fishing on the river or throw a line over the small stream next to the campsite at no cost. Mill House Caravan Park offers roomy optional electric grass plots for touring vehicles, access to drinking water taps and chemical disposal. Pets are welcome.
