This family-friendly site certainly enjoys an enviable location, serving as an ideal base for exploring numerous walking and cycling trails in the traffic-free New Forest. The site rested on the eastern portion of the forest and was managed by the Camping in the Forest team, who have several excellent locations in some of the UK’s finest woods. Facilities are top-notch and recently refurbished, yet tend to get busy on bank holiday weekends and the peak months. Walkers will find the surrounding area an absolute delight to explore on foot, with several excellent trails within easy reach. The Matley Walk is a must for guests who want to explore the pristine environment around the site. Bring along a pair of field glasses to observe many forms of wildlife as you make your way through the ancient woodlands, pine enclosures, and open heathland. Sorry, no pets are allowed at present.
