Battle Hill Farm now rests on the grounds of an ancient Saxon fort, overlooked by the beautiful St Mary’s church, which dates back to the 12th-century. The small, peaceful and well-maintained site was continuously built and maintained by the same family for over 30-years, ensuring considerately included features to ensure your stay is comfortable and nothing short of pleasant. Set on a rough estimate of 5-acres, the site slopes gently and offers seclusion from the neighbouring farms with a thick lining of shaggy trees that also provide respite from the elements during the colder months of the year. A gleaming pond in the middle of the site, recently developed in size, offers a lovely spot to sit down at sunset and giggle over the delights of summer. Guests are also welcome to throw a line over the waters and try their hand at some recreational fishing. The camping pitches are set out around the perimeter of the field, making the centre an open grassy communal space for the kids to romp with glee while parents keep a lazy eye over the antics. An on-site camp kitchen serves homemade food and fresh coffee. Tents, touring vehicles, glampers, and well-behaved pets are welcome.
