The Queens Head is a peaceful campsite tucked away at the back of a friendly 17th-century pub, serving real ales, local lagers, and an array of homemade food. The site rests a literal minute of a trot from the pub, serving as a convenient base for guests who want to do some sightseeing, unwind, and enjoy hearty food throughout their stay. Guests are welcome to pick a corner and set up camp: however, pitches are generally allocated during the busy months. The camping plots are on an even grass field, with nine electric hook-ups and access to a communal toilet block, showers, washing up area, plus the conveniences of ice pack freezing for those sweltering summer days. Guests can also access the pub toilets if required. There are log burning stoves in the main bars, creating a cosy atmosphere for unwinding. Delicious homemade food is on offer for post-exertion meals, which can be enjoyed outside or taken back to your pitch. Real ales, craft beers, and lagers are a minute from your grass pitch, so feel free to stock up and kick back on your plot or find a shady spot to set up a picnic and enjoy the laidback pace of your holiday.
