Wardley Hill Camp is a relaxed, back-to-basic campsite set on a 6-acre site made up of woodland, a small stream, and three seasonal ponds that encourage safe exploration. The ecologically family-owned and operated site is just the place for car-free, off-grid camping in the verdant Waveney Valley. Wildflowers and grass are often left to grow out to lure butterflies and bees, making this an exceptionally splendid base for free spirits. Guests can pitch or park up on unregimented camping spots, some in secluded corners, and others large enough to host several families or friends. The car-free camping field is reserved exclusively for tents, and small campervans are also welcome to set up camp in a private area. Guests who are too posh to pitch can settle in for peaceful glamping stay in one of three locally crafted tents – the Shepherds hut, Hammock hut and Tinkers Hut. Guests can also hire a Tentsile Connect tree tent or a Stingray 3 person tent suspended in the leafy trees. Facilities add emphasis to the authentic no-frills camping experience and include three well-maintained, clean composting toilets, a urinal, and an open-topped shower with hot water. Drinking water points are available around the site. Campfires and barbeques are encouraged, and pets are most welcome.
