Wake up to the trills of birdsong and watch the morning mist curl over the gleaming waters of a canal adjacent to your camping area as you sip on a steaming cuppa at Twilite Leisure Park. This compact, beautiful site rests behind the Oxford canal, just three miles south of Banbury, and once served as a thriving hotspot for pipe and brickworks in the late 18th-century. Bricks have not been made in these parts for over a hundred years, yet two Grade II buildings are listed for history buffs to explore on-site. The friendly park first welcomed its guests in 2004, making many improvements along the way to provide guests with excellent camping for both tents and touring vehicles. There are 21 hardstanding pitches with electricity and half an acre for pitching tents and enjoying recreational activities. There are pitches with optional electric hook-ups for tent campers. Walkers can kick start their stay by strolling through the landscaped garden area, set out on three levels, with stunning vistas over the valley to the sleepy village of King's Sutton. The unique shower block is constructed within a restored brick kiln and features all modern fittings. All the local pubs serve food, and friendly canines are more than welcome to join.
