Wysdom Touring Park is a lovely, adults-only campsite ensuring unrivalled peace and heaps of freedom to sit back and sip as much wine as required. The site rests on land owned by the Burford School, and all proceeds help maintain the primary school and grounds. Guests can enjoy a sense of tranquillity and privacy as the premises are screened from the school by large and leafy trees. Bushes and shrubs separate the pitches themselves for seclusion from fellow campers, and many glowing reviews liken a camping experience here similar to camping in someone’s back garden. All caravan and motorhome pitches come with electric hook-ups and also hold freshwater taps. There is plenty of space for awnings and stretching out. A ten-minute stroll leads to the top of Burford high street, and the beautiful town of Burford often called the gateway to the Cotswolds. Both sides of the road are jammed-packed with restaurants, pubs and shops, affording easy access to local amenities and attractions. History buffs can mosey over to St John the Baptist church, dating back to the 12th-century, and take a stroll through one of the prettiest churches in England. Eleven pubs offer a superb range of bevvies and homemade pub grub. Well-behaved dogs are most welcome to stay.
