Kitts Cottage Camp

Picture bedding down amid rolling quintessentially English countryside to awaken to the trills of birdsong, the sound of the leaves rustling in the wind and crisp morning air that only comes from rural areas. If this sounds like your cup of tea, rumble over to Kitts Cottage Camp, a peaceful back to basics campsite nestled in a scenic, quiet location, surrounded by the verdant South Downs countryside. This pretty countryside site rests a trifling 10-minute drive from Haywards Heath and a smooth 40 from the beach, pier, quirky shops, and family-friendly amusements at buzzing Brighton. Fill your days with literary stops, picnic in scenic, secluded spots, and explore renowned landscapes in the naturally stunning High Weald, South Downs National Park, and the Ashdown Forest, which extends over a whopping 500-acres’. Families with kids are reminded to collect sticks for a game of pooh sticks at the original Pooh Sticks Bridge. If less active days are more your vibe, there is plenty of space to stretch out with a book and bevvy in hand while the kids make their fun and partake in some good old fashioned open-air antics. There’s more than enough space for the nippers to enjoy gallops alongside their canine companions, so feel free to bring your cooped-up pet along for a vacation. Barbeques and campfires are encouraged.
