Fox Wood Camping is a picturesque couple and family-focused site nestled at the end of a peaceful wooded valley, surrounded by the natural beauty of the South Downs National Park. This beautiful tents-only campsite is ideal for guests who prize nature, open green spaces, and the nostalgic scent of wood smoke wafting through the trees during the winter months. Campsite owners Ian and Sarah, who spend their winter months creating sustainable charcoal, were struck with the idea of setting up a back to basics campsite under mighty oaks, providing guests with the romantic settings and shimmering starry skies to appreciate throughout their stay. The camping area rests at the end of a gently sloping valley, a short distance south of the national park, with 34-acres of oak wood to explore and unwind. All tent pitches rest in a private natural clearing and come equipped with the added joys of traditional camping in the form of fire pits and log cabins. Cars are not allowed near the pitches, and belongings must be trucked over in a wheelbarrow, ensuring a serene setting for escaping the stress of modern life. Facilities are far and few between this back to basics site, with no bins, no electricity and no glaring lights at night, so ensure you have the essentials when you arrive. Dogs are most welcome.
