The woods around the site are home to a variety of wildlife, including red deer, roe deer, bats, buzzards, owls, pheasants, and other critters. Wake up inside a lovingly converted 34-foot long retro van, and open the doors to listen to the trills and warbles of birdsong as the young ones scamper through the glistening morning dew in the meadow on their way to the lovely swing. Ask the nippers to keep their eyes peeled for passing deer or set up the telescope and take turns naming the constellations and planets in the remarkably unpolluted night skies of Dartmoor. The van has ample space to sleep six people and holds comfortable beds, fresh linen and towels, plus a bathroom with a hot shower. Step outside, and you’ll find your quiet picnic area with a firepit and barbeque. Enjoy splendid walks in the area, or hop in the car with your bike and rumble over to Tarka Trail, a cracking route for cycling enthusiasts. Dogs are welcome throughout the year.
