This cracking glamping retreat makes holidays in the stunning West Country an absolute delight. The peaceful site lies sandwiched between patchworks of fields and looks out over lovely stiles that create a charming rustic atmosphere. It’s easy to forget the stress of modern life and the hectic race of commuters as you kick back on miles of open countryside, listen to the birds trilling in the trees, and unwind to a slower pace of life. There are free-range hens who often come to have a nose around the guests, and their gentle clucking pairs beautifully with birdsong and the sounds of the wind dancing through the greenery. Friendly owners Mabel and Sam are at hand to extend a warm welcome to groups and families who are keen to escape the stresses of the rat race. Bed down in one of two comfortable and tastefully furnished shepherd’s huts, and enjoy a good night’s rest under the starry skies on a 6ft by 4 ft bed for tired adventurers. Savour the nostalgic ambience as you sit down for hot meals around the barbeque grill, soak in the bubbling hot tub, and make friends with the friendly donkey nearby. Dogs are welcome to enjoy a holiday here, too.
