The Bridge House Camp Site is an excellent place for those who want to balance their food intake with active pursuits. This welcoming, back to basics campsite rests in a serene hamlet opposite an impressive 400-year-old pub, eliminating the need to drive into town for eateries and food supplies. Sit back and soak in the tranquil, rural atmosphere as you kick back on a primitive grass tent and settle in for a relaxing, rejuvenating stay. The friendly site has a pizzeria on-site, providing guests with delicious nibbles and dinners after an eventful day of adventures. The camping area rests around a 19th-century farmhouse, and the thoughtful owners have converted the dining room into a pizzeria where guests are more than welcome to savour pizza, desserts and soft drinks. Feel free to enjoy your meal at the pizzeria or take it back to your base for a relaxing evening under the sparkling night sky. Potter over to the local pub a five-minute trot away for heartier homemade grub and the opportunity to pick from a fab menu of excellent cask ales. Energetic types can head out for scenic hikes and trails like the Dales Way, accessible from the picturesque village of Starbotton. If you enjoy the traditional thrills of barbeques, feel free to fire the grill. Pets most welcome.
