Glen Spean Camping

Glen Spean Camping is a seasonal campsite set in the Scottish Highlands at Tirindrish, around half a mile from Spean Bridge. The site offers a relaxed base for exploring the surrounding mountains, lochs and outdoor attractions, with spectacular views towards the Grey Corries and Aonach Mòr in the Nevis Range.

The campsite provides grass pitches for tents and small campervans, with non-electric pitches available. There are also bell tents for guests looking for a more comfortable camping experience. The camping area has a simple, natural feel and provides plenty of space for enjoying the Highland surroundings.

Facilities include toilets, showers, a shared campers' kitchen with a fridge, kettle and other useful equipment, sinks with drinking-water taps and picnic benches. Firepits are available for guests, with firewood also provided for some accommodation and camping areas. The facilities are practical and suited to guests looking for a straightforward outdoor camping experience.

An on-site brewery provides an additional place to relax during your stay, with a bottle shop, self-service coffee and tea, and occasional food trucks and events. The brewery is open on selected days, including Fridays and weekends, making it possible to enjoy local drinks and food without travelling far from the campsite.

The surrounding area is well suited to walking, cycling and other outdoor activities. The Nevis Range Mountain Resort is around 10 minutes' drive away, offering mountain biking, outdoor activities and access to the gondola on Aonach Mòr. Fort William and Loch Linnhe are approximately 20 minutes' drive from the campsite, providing further opportunities for sightseeing, walking and exploring the Highlands.

Spean Bridge provides useful local amenities and public transport connections. The village can be reached in around 15 minutes on foot, while Spean Bridge railway station is less than a mile from the campsite. Bus services from the village provide an alternative way to reach Fort William and explore the surrounding area without driving.

Dogs are welcome at the campsite. The site is also suitable for guests interested in fishing, golf, canoeing, climbing, cycling and mountain biking, with a range of outdoor activities available in the surrounding area.

Glen Spean Camping has a seasonal, pop-up campsite character and is particularly suited to visitors looking for a simple base from which to explore the Scottish Highlands, with mountain scenery, outdoor activities and local attractions close by.
