Kilvrecht Caravan and Camp Site is a laid-back site, welcoming campervans, motorhomes, caravans and tents. Set approximately three miles from the utterly picturesque village of Kinloch Rannoch, the campsite is the perfect spot to get away from it all and rests in an elevated position over the gleaming waters of the Loch Rannoch. Use the site as your base for adventures in the gorgeous Scottish Highlands, or sit back and unwind at the campsite– the choice is yours. Escape the stress of modern life as you soak in the crisp air and let the serene atmosphere soothe the mind and soul. The only disturbance to the peace is the occasional twitters and trills of birdsong, so come on by and savour the scenic surrounds as you kick back and relax. The simple site allows campers to rumble in, pick a plot, and the warden will come around to collect the fees for your stay. Loch Rannoch is an excellent place for angling and holds a thriving population of pike, perch, and trout. Fishing permits are available online on the Loch Rannoch Conservation Association website as well as the Country Store in Kinloch Rannoch. Kilvrecht is a back-to-basics-site and not for those who prefer well-lit parks with a range of mod cons. There is no electricity on-site (great for stargazing), so there is no hot water in the toilets. There is no formal shower and fires are not permitted owing to the proximity of the site to a forest.
