Two separate units double as a family room and a disabled-friendly washroom with ramped access. A small shop on-site offer necessary provisions and gas a few hours a day. There is a small play area for the munchkins and Wi-Fi access for a modest fee. The site itself rests in an old walled garden of the historic mansion Barcaldine House. The garden offers protection against the winds and acts as an excellent sun trap. The cosy site rests opposite a sparkling loch which is ideal for sea fishing. If freshwater angling is what you’re looking for, take a breezy twenty-minute stroll to the nearest freshwater lake. One foot through the garden gate takes you to the expansive Barcaldine forest, which is perfect for long dog walks, and hours of mountain biking.
