Danyfan Carriage is the latest project by owners Emma and Stevie, who have lovingly converted an old railway carriage using as many local materials when possible. Having fled the stress and schedules of modern life, the welcoming proprietors have found a perfect spot in the lush, rolling countryside to set up their beautiful home that comes kitted out with a range of creature comforts, ensuring nothing short of a stress-free stay. There is a comfortable, spacious bed for resting after a tiring day of adventure, a woodburning stove, plus a gas hob and grill for whipping up light meals and snacks. A roomy table and chairs make for great dining options on days the weather refuses to acknowledge you’re on holiday. The interior consists of a blend of painted and part original wood with lovely art and botanical illustrations on the walls creating a cosy feel. Serenity and room to stretch out are given due to the handily positioned carriage in a small burbling stream. Views from the abode consist of the Brecon Beacons, so go ahead and settle down on the sunny deck and soak in the scenery. There is a little garden for fire pits and barbeques. A wee trot leads to the compost loo, a shower with lashings of hot water and a Belfast sink. Canines are welcome to tag along.
