Drovers Rest

Does the strain of everyday life weigh you down? It's high time to set out on a well-earned break where big skies and a slower pace of life are the orders of the day. Drovers Rest is a small boutique site located a mere three miles outside the Hay-on-Wye boundary that serves as the borders for Wales and England. Settle in for a peaceful rural glamping stay where the thoughtful owners have taken the time and care to ensure all guests, irrespective of age or ability, savour a perfect blend of luxury and hands-on adventures in the great outdoors. The idyllic location enjoys a central position yet offers pleasant, quiet countryside camping filled with the calming countryside sounds like the trills of birds, the distant buzzing of bees and soothing countryside breezes. Outdoor adventurers can gain easy access to Hay-on-Wye and the stunning Brecon Beacons or head out for gentle strolls in the open, rolling Herefordshire countryside. The site rests on the grounds of a 16th-century working farm that used to welcome shepherds as they transported their herds to the London markets. Five brand new creamy canvas cottages offer glorious vistas over the outstanding beauty of the British countryside. Enjoy some traditional camping fun by browning marshmallows over the crackling campfire as the stars twinkle above. Pets allowed.
